Asplundh wins Country Energy contracts
Asplundh has successfully tendered for two regions of tree clearing on the Country Energy network. The new contracts in Grafton and Lismore commence on 6 April 2009 for a duration of 3 years with a 3 year optional extension. The contracts include rural and urban areas.
Asplundh’s Managing Director, Carl Rogers is delighted to enter a long term relationship with NSW's largest energy provider. Upon receiving the news Carl had this to say, "I am delighted that we have secured these contracts with Country Energy. We have in recent years completed a number of short term easement clearing contracts for Country Energy utilising mulching tractors and excavators. These new contracts represent our core business and bring to the area over 80 years of international experience on this type of work. We have now established a permanent presence in the Far North Coast of NSW and look forward to working together with Country Energy to ensuring a safer environment for everyone."
Asplundh is responsible for ensuring that trees and vegetation are kept to minimum clearances from Country Energy's powerlines and assets.
